Spend the Evening in the Erg Chebbi Dunes
This peaceful camel trekking tour will start in the afternoon around 4pm from your hotel near the dunes in Merzouga. Your camel will slowly carry you through the dunes in the heart of the Erg Chebbi, in the Sahara Desert. While riding through the peaceful, breathtaking and mysterious dunes of the Sahara, you will have the opportunity to take some of the most spectacular pictures. The sunset is typically a breathtaking experience as the colors of the dunes explode into a magnificent feast for the eyes. An absolute delight for the professional and amateur photographer. The dunes stand in all its glory with the highest elevation of 150M. We will spend the evening in the desert in our tents just as the indigenous nomads live. Tonight take in the evening Moroccan sky it is sure to leave a permanent mark in your memory. At times it is so beautiful you will never be able to find the correct words to describe what you have seen.

2 Night Sandboard and Exploring the Sahara
Day 1:
The adventure will begin in the afternoon. It all begins from your hotel near the dunes. Your camel will slowly carry you through the dunes in the heart of the Erg Chebbi. While riding through the peaceful, breathtaking and mysterious dunes of the Sahara, you will have the opportunity to take some spectacular pictures. Photos for the professional and amateur photographer alike. The dunes stand tall with the highest elevation of 150M. After we arrive at the desert camp, we will grab the sand boards and walk to the highest dunes for a bit of fun. From the dunes you will get to watch the sunset over the picturesque backdrop of the seemingly painted dunes. After the sun settles in for the evening you will have dinner at the desert camp and enjoy Cultural Berber Music around the fire. When the evening closes you will spend the night in your tent.
Day 2:
Rise and Shine, the day will begin with a breathtaking sunrise in the desert, where the sun rises above the dunes behind the Algerian boarder. After breakfast in the desert camp we will ride the camels to visit and have a lunch with a nomad family. Visiting with the Nomads at times is a life changing experience. The peace and love that these wonderful people share will be a highlight of your Moroccan journey. After visiting with the nomads, you will visit an oasis in the dunes, and we walk back to the camp after the sunset. When returning to camp you will have dinner and spend the evening in the nomadic tents. The next morning, we will ride the camel back to Merzouga after the sunrise. Here you will have breakfast and shower in the hotel.
Tour Erg Chebbi Dunes
via 4x4 SUV
This trip starts from Merzouga. We will hop in the 4x4 to explore villages around Erg Chebbi’s dunes, such as Hassi Labied, Merdani, Khamlia, M’fis. In Khamlia, you will be greeted with a warm cup of tea (aka: Berber Whiskey) while enjoying live, spiritual Gnawa music. Leaving Khamlia our next stop is a panoramic view of the golden dunes near the Algerian border. Time permitting, we may stop for a picnic lunch in the desert or sample a Berber pizza in one of my favorite spots in Khamlia, before visiting a nomad family. You will be introduced to family members and learn about their way of life, and most likely enjoying another cup of tea and nuts. Then we will visit the site of black volcanic rocks. Continuing onward we’ll reach the panoramic view near Yasmina Lake. The Lake is an amazing view, especially if it full of water. The dunes will stand in all its glory with a picturesque view of the nearby lake (usually only springtime, if lucky). Then we will drive back to Merzouga. This is a full and exciting day. Don’t forget your camera.
Please note we will visit Yasmina or Merzouga Lake only if there’s water in it.
